One of the first things I noticed using Firefox 3 was that the address bar for HTTPS (encrypted) pages was no longer yellow. As the old joke goes, it's not a bug, it's a feature. That is, the decision was made for the address bar in Firefox 3 to always be white.
The removal of the yellow address bar is my biggest (and so far only) complaint with Firefox 3. I agree with this article that while the new favicon options are great, it can be easy to miss. I guess it will just take some getting used to.
It didn't bother me that they changed it but I think I might implement the hack to enable it anyway.
I've had a few screen refresh issues when entering passwords on sites. The userid login area will become black, can't see anything in the area. If I reload it works okay.
Scroll down to the comments section of this page to see the debate among the developers over this issue. It makes sense to me to get rid of the yellow, since yellow is a "cautionary" color, but it was being used to convey something positive (encryption.)
